If there's ever a name which epitomizes the will to succeed, it's Matusek.

The Matusek name, championed in drag racing by master fuel system expert and Pro Modified racer Steve Matusek, is quick to point out the reputation was set in motion long before he was even born.

Matusek's father, the late John Matusek, escaped to the United States to avoid persecution in 1956 from his Hungarian homeland. He was a member of the Hungarian Freedom Fighters who battled the Russian Army as part of the movement against communism. His mother, Lucy Haberman Matusek, who escaped Poland after hiding in an attic for a year to avoid going to a Nazi Germany concentration camp.

LEGENDS: THE SERIES - THE LEGEND OF JEB ALLEN

Few ever climbed higher or sunk lower than Jeb Allen who, six years after becoming the youngest driver ever to win the NHRA Top Fuel Championship, was addicted to drugs and alcohol, estranged from family and friends and living in the back of his truck.

In this episode of Legends: The Series, Season Four, Allen, now a successful homebuilder, revisits the good days, discusses the bad and explains how “tough love” finally enabled him to break the cycle of abuse.

A crew chief at 16, the youngest licensed NHRA Top Fuel driver at 17 and the youngest Top Fuel winner at 18, he raced with sponsorship from Revell, Dodge and English Leather. He won NHRA, AHRA and IHRA championships. Eventually, though, the pressure he placed on himself took its toll.

STORYTELLERS - DALE PULDE TELLS THE STORY OF NOT BAD FOR A STOLEN CAR

Dale Pulde is a legendary figure in the history of fuel Funny Car racer. His beautiful War Eagle Funny Cars, in partnership with Mike Hamby, were nothing short of works of art. A little over four decades ago, Pulde debuted his first of the War Eagle Funny Cars, and for him the maiden tour was one he hasn't forgotten. Enjoy a tale which includes the authorities, accusations, a memorable fight and a few for the blooper reel.

#DRAGRACING: ONTARIO MOTOR SPEEDWAY - DEATH OF A SUPER TRACK

Ontario Motor Speedway was a motorsport venue located in Ontario, California. It was the first and only automobile racing facility built to accommodate major races sanctioned by all of the four dominant racing sanctioning bodies: USAC (and now IndyCar Series) for open-wheel oval car races; NASCAR for a 500-mile (800 km) oval stock car races; NHRA for drag races; and FIA for Formula One road course races. Constructed in less than two years, the track opened in August 1970 and was considered state of the art at the time.
